If you try to upload an orthophoto (.tif or .tiff file) to Infrakit using a connected Sharepoint folder, you may find that the file does not appear as an orthophoto or is not processed as expected. This article helps you diagnose and resolve the issue.
Common Symptoms
TIFF or TIF orthophoto uploaded from Sharepoint does not appear in the Orthophotos section.
No error message is shown, but the file is missing or not recognized as an orthophoto.
Causes
Orthophoto files uploaded via Sharepoint integration are not automatically processed as orthophotos in Infrakit. Only files uploaded through the Infrakit web interface are recognized and processed correctly as orthophotos.
This is a current limitation of the Sharepoint integration. Other file types may sync as expected, but orthomosaic files (GeoTIFFs) require direct upload to Infrakit for proper processing.
Solutions
After direct upload, your orthophoto will appear and process correctly in Infrakit.
Verification
Once uploaded directly, the orthophoto should be visible in the Orthophotos section. You can view and use it on your project map as expected.
Prevention
Always upload orthophotos (TIFF, TIF, JP2) directly to Infrakit via the web interface, not via Sharepoint integration.
Check the Orthophotos section after uploading to confirm successful processing.
